Inside Sales Rep

SUMMARY An Inside Sales Rep is responsible for being completely familiar with company pricing procedures and has good product knowledge in both plumbing and heating.
The Inside Sales Rep works closely with the Outside Sales Team and helps assist with administrative responsibilities and communication to customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES -Functions under and reports to the Branch Manager.
-Must be capable of doing take-offs submittals, quotes and multi-tasking.
-Must be responsive to customers and Outside Sales requests, concerning costs and availability.
-Keep in contact with customers regarding quotes, status of PO's, and various other issues.
-Must be educated with market and competition pricing.
-Must keep an open line of communication with customer and co-workers.
-Generates electronic quotes based on customer bill of materials and drawings.
-Develops and maintains a quote log.
-Keep daily logs of current bid list and the status.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES -Transform quotes into actual orders.
-Produce non-stock purchase orders.
-Assist Outside Sales in generating commercial quotes and sales.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS -Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol.
Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to type.
-Plumbing component experience either in sales, purchasing or manufacturing -Familiarity with blueprint drawings.
-Good working knowledge of the plumbing and heating industry.
-Must work well under pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS -Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
Woks in a fast paced time structured environment.
